Cycle 2 - I'm a Celebrity, get me out of here!

This week on C2 of America's Next Topmodel: The girls have to portray famous celebrities in their photoshoot, who more or less resemble their look. Without further ado, here are the fo-tos:

1. Mercedes - Billie Holiday

I myself don't know who Billy Holiday is, but by looking at this photo of Mercedes I get a sense of pain and sadness, and it really draws me in. She looks gorgeous and really had to overcome some personal obstacles as well this week. FCO very well deserved.

2. Xiomara - Grace Jones

I think the makeup and styling does most of the work here, but still it is an undeniably gorgeous photo of Xiomara. I love the pose and how long it makes her legs look. Sadly, this remains to be her only good shot on the show.

3. Shandi - Nicole Kidman

I adore this shot of Shandi, she really captured Nicole's elegance and her inapproachable demeanour perfectly.

4. Jenascia - Salma Hayek

This is a really hot photo of Jenascia, I like the pose and her facial expression. She was eliminated for this photo, which is a travesty. You'll soon be seeing why.

5. Catie - Marilyn Monroe

I used to really dislike this photo, but looking at it again more carefully she really managed to mimic Marilyn in this shot. I still don't really like it because I think it looks slightly draggalicious, but her effort needs to be acknowledged.

6. Sara - Angelina Jolie

I think she went a little too far, Angelina Jolie is a sexy woman, but the open pants and the pouted lip are a bit too much for my liking. Still, she looks hot in this photo.

7. Yoanna - Audrey Hepburn

I like this shot, but it's rather timid and doesn't leave an impression on me. She did nail Audrey's body language though.

8. April - Catherine Zeta-Jones

This is probably one of her weakest shots, but I wouldn't call it bad either. It's just really really dull compared to all the other photos.

9. Camille - Diana Ross

Terrible. Just terrible. She looks possessed by a demon, or scared to death. This is her third bad week in a row, I can't believe she was once again saved.

Cycle 2 - Wire to Wire

Week 3, everybody! The girls got their makeovers, which really helped most of them to look like real models (especially Shandi), and for their photoshoot they had to pose suspended in mid-air. There are some gorgeous photos this week waiting to be judged, so here we go...

1. Shandi

Not only did she receive by far the best styling ( I adore the Clockwork Orange resemblance), she also knew how to pose like none of the others. This photo looks so effortless, yet strong. Her makeover really took her from dorky librarian to high fashion model.

2. April

Week 3, and April conitnues to steadily deliver amazing pictures. The pose here is very strong and aggressive, and I love her eye contact as well. It's really a shame that there are so few high quality pictures from C2 available.

3. Yoanna

Finally, a shot of Yoanna I truly love. This is the first time that she managed to control both her face and body, and it's a fabulous and strong shot all in all. The short hair also did wonders for her face.

4. Jenascia

This is Jenascia's best photo on the show, and it's a great one. Her face looks very passionate, even though she's not looking at the camera. Due to the angle her legs look shorter, which is why she only gets ranked 4th.

5. Mercedes

This photo of Mercedes is average, but I still quite like the pose and how she managed to control her body. Nice, but nothing outstanding.

6. Catie

She complained times two this episode. First, she cried about her boy-short hair, then she cried because she was afraid of heights. I think Catie was annoying as hell on C2, but the final outcome of her photoshoot is quite good and not elimination worthy.

7. Sara

I always quite liked this photo, but upon closer inspection I notice too many little flaws which make it look awkward, like the stiff neck, the missing leg and the rolled back eyes. Not her best shot.

8. Xiomara

Xiomara was such a sweetheart, but I almost never liked any of her pictures. This one is again quite awkward, but I do like how it looks like she's holding on to the ring for her life. It's better than the two about to come.

9. Heather

After her great start in Week 1, she really crashed and burned. This photo is bland and boring, and at the same time it looks overtly hoochie and quite pornish.

10. Camille

If Heather crashed and burned, Camille exploded. This is just flat out an ugly photo, her face looks like...what does it look like,actually? This should have sent her home, but I wasn't bummed about Heather leaving either.

Cycle 2 - Hey Hey, I got my new Shoes on...

...and suddenly everything's right! Welcome back to Week 2 of ANTM Cycle 2, where our lovely ladies had to pose for a Steve Madden shoe ad. They got to choose their best pictures on their own, which is something I think that should be the case for all the photoshoots on ANTM.

Let's see how it turned out!

1. Sara

Our little Persian Princess turned it out this week, I think this photo is perfect for a shoe ad. She looks very sexy, it's eyecatching and the shoes look awesome.

2. Mercedes

This photo has grown on me a lot, it's actually a really nice one. She looks very hip and modern and I love the kicked up leg, it shows off the shoes very well.

3. April

In any other case I think hiding your face wouldn't have worked, but in this photo it really does, since it's all about the shoes. April looks very vibrant and powerful, and it's visually demanding.

4. Catie

This is a great shot for Catie, I really like the body positioning. The face could have connected a little bit more, but that's the only flaw I can detect.

5. Bethany

I don't think this photo is bad at all, it's actually a really nice shot of the otherwise busty Bethany. I like the creative pose, and I think both her body and face look good in this photo. Sure she lacks any kind of serious fashion potential, but I have to admit that this photo is not bad enough to send her home this week.

6. Jenascia

It's a decent shot, but nothing about it really stands out to me. The shoes look nice, the pose is nice, overall it's nice.

7. Shandi

Shandi herself looks awesome in this photo and she's really showing off the shoes, but this photo is very dull otherwise. I think in this case looking at the camera would have done wonders.

8. Yoanna

Her face once again looks amazing, but it almost looks like she's about to snooze off and fall over in this photo, it lacks power and thus it doesn't make a good shoe ad in my opinion.

9. Xiomara

This photo is bad, but on the show they actually showed a different one which was much much better. And the next two shots about to come up are worse anyway.

10. Camille

How the mighty have fallen! This looks like a cheap porn ad, and nothing more. The pose is raunchy and the makeup is dreadful.

11. Heather

This pose is still the most random pose I have ever seen in any ANTM picture. It looks like she's wiping her butt. That alone makes it the worst of the week, in my opinion.

Cycle 2 - The Tradition Continues

Welcome back everybody! After we witnessed the fabulous Adrianne winning Cycle 1, 12 new beauties are back to fight for the title of America's Next Topmodel.
The show itself went through some changes as well. Kimora and Beau were replaced with Eric Nicholson and *shudders* Nigel Barker, and the whole vibe of the production seemed less cheap. Yay.

For their very first photoshoot the girls had to pose nude (yeah, the first two cycles really consisted of very much skin being shown) and covered in bodypaint, as gorgeous Eves. Let's see some results!

1. April

This photo is so gorgeous. April really knows how to pose, and it shows in this photo. She looks poised, elegant and sexy, what a great start for the cycle!

2. Mercedes

This photoshoot was made for her - the Egyptian Queen look fits her perfectly, she looks divine. Another flawless photo this week.

3. Shandi

I think Shandi's photo is the one that tells the story of Adam and Eve the best, she looks really seductive without even trying.

4. Heather

Heather is a very plain girl, but in this photo she looks stunning. I just love the styling in this shot, and the way she's posing in a rather cool and reserved manner. I think this shot is often forgotten, but it is such a great one.

5. Catie

Obviously the styling fits her so well, she already has this cutesy and angelic look. Here she really plays with it and brings it to the next level. Lovely photo.

6. Sara

Her body looks so amazing in this photo, she's a true stunner. I love this shot, but somehow it doesn't really stand out against the ones I ranked before it.

7. Camille

This would have easily been my FCO if it weren't for the fact that her face looks kind of draggy in this shot. I mean, the body and pose are in-sane.

8. Yoanna

So, I adore the face in this shot, and her face obviously is Yoanna's best feature. What I find lacking is the expression through an interesting pose, which is why I rank this photo quite low.

9. Jenascia

I think she got lost behind all the styling, I barely notice her in this photo. When I get to the face, this photo is stunning, but the rest looks like a huge red furry ball. I blame the stylists though. Moreover, she overslept and arrived late on set, which led to the first drama of the cycle.

10. Xiomara

I don't like this photo too much, the face looks expressionless and her pose seems very awkward and clumsy. She's such a sweetheart though.

11. Bethany

Smurfette attacks! I don't know, this photo is not hideous, but I just find it hard to take it seriously because she looks like a pornish version of Smurfette and I just can't get past the boobies.

12. Anna

So, Anna refused to pose nude, and thus is the first girl with a non-existant ANTM portfolio. Congrats!

Cycle 1 - My Way

To conclude the very first cycle of ANTM, here is how things would have gone if I had the power over the judging panel.

Week 1 - J.Lo Bikinis

- Robin -

There is just no way around it, she didn't belong in this competition. And it's not because of her size, but her age- It showed in her photo this week, and it showed in all of her other shots after that one as well.

Week 2 - Stuff Magazine

- Nicole -

Her face just tends to look really harsh and manly in photos, and this week it was clearly apparent. Kesse also didn't do too well, but she has her fantastic first shot to fall back upon.

Week 3 - Snakes

- Ebony -

I love Ebony as a person, she was really entertaining. But safe for her second photo, I don't like any of her other shots, and this week she hit an all-time low.

Week 4 - Commercial

- Tessa -

I think Tessa is actually quite photogenic, but as well a bit on the bland side. I don't think her commercial would have been anything outstanding, so I send her home at this point.

Week 5 - Reebok

- Kesse -

Ever since Week 1 Kesse struggled to take a good photo, and this week her photo was just horrendous. She was such a cutie, but I cannot save her yet another week to hope for something semi-decent.

Week 6 - Lingerie in Paris

- Katie -

Yes, Katie is a bombshell and probably woould have rocked this shoot. But with the photoshoots on the show I'm not sure if she could have shown a great variety of things, and also I just like the other 4 girls more than her, they have more to offer.

Week 7 - Merit Diamonds

- Shannon -

Had she done the shoot I would have spared her over Elyse, but not doing the photoshoot is not a good thing when all the other girls are performing on a rather high level as well.

Week 8 - Finale

- Elyse -

Elyse is probably one of the most editorial girls to ever be on this show, but her attitude towards the go-sees people was not acceptable and she doesn't have the strongest body of work, either.

- Giselle -

I love me some Ginselle, but I think she wouldn't have been able to do better than Adrianne overall. Speaking of which...

Winner

- Adrianne -

100% deserving winner, she really owned all the girls this cycle. She overcame sickness, she showed her diversity in photos and she has the best portfolio. Great choice, this is when the ANTM winners actually made sense.
